Guardian Holdings Limited (GHL) is the parent company for an integrated financial services group whose business focus is in life, health, property and casualty insurance, pensions, asset management and private equity.

GHL is a multi-national, born in the English-speaking Caribbean but operating within the Dutch-speaking Caribbean, south into Latin America and internationally through strategic acquisitions in the United Kingdom and Gibraltar.  We are committed to ensuring a quality of life for employees, their families, the community and society overall for sustained economic development.

We receive an overwhelming number of requests for funding projects and events in the communities in which we operate.  While it is the mission of Guardian Holdings Limited to form strong community partnerships that will make a difference for those in its community of operations, GHL is not able to partner with every group/agency making a request.

Guidelines

All sponsorship/donation requests must be in line with the organization’s ethos and core values of integrity, quality, serving people and growth. Requests of a charitable nature are considered ‘donations’; sponsorships generally connote that there is a commercial or ‘for profit’ element in the request.   GHL’s donation and sponsorship support is concentrated in the following broad areas of need:

  • The Environment

  • Education (e.g. our Partnership with The University of the West Indies)

  • Youth Activities, particularly in the area of Sport (e.g. our Partnership with Carifta)

  • Community Activities

GHL will consider requests outside of these areas when they meet needs in the community of our operations.    Further, GHL’s subsidiary companies may adjust this policy to suit their particular business as well as the cultural norms and practice of their country/territory.   This policy guideline, therefore, does not preclude direct contact with individual subsidiary companies for specific projects.   Multiple contact for the same project will not however be entertained.

In all cases, GHL funds areas of interest that make things better for its community partners.  The following areas will NOT be considered:

  • Political Fundraising

  • Salaries, benefits or administrative costs of start-up programming

All proposals should include the following attachments:
