Standard Life Insurance Limited 162 years ago, GLOC is now a public company
incorporated on December 30, 1980 and registered under the provisions of the
Insurance Act, 1980. The Company is engaged in the underwriting of all classes
of long-term insurance business as defined in the Insurance Act, 1980 as well as
associated investment activities. Now, as part of the Guardian Holdings Group,
Guardian Life is the largest life insurance provider in the region with over
