The CariFin Games began in 1991, challenging members of various financial institutions in a series of sporting events to promote health, fitness, team work and camaraderie. The challenges consist of mainly running and walking races. However, aerobic burn outs, football and cricket matches as well as all fours tournaments are also held during the season.  The annual games generally begin in April and climaxes around June.  In addition to entering a team, Guardian Holdings has been a sponsor of the events since 2008.

At the 2010 Carifin (Caribbean Financial Institutions) games Team Guardian left their usual dominant mark on the competition. Guardian employees secured top 10 finishes in every challenge and employee participants were covered widely in the local media.
