JOB TITLE: EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE HEAD OF
GROUP COMPLIANCE
REPORTS TO: HEAD OF GROUP COMPLIANCE UNIT-
GUARDIAN HOLDINGS LIMITED
JOB OBJECTIVE:
This position is responsible for providing
personal administrative support to the Head of
Compliance and to maintain continuity of office
operations during her absence. The Incumbent
must project a professional company image while
interacting with both internal and external
customers.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain Executive’s calendar. Arrange
and coordinate meetings and conferences; and
coordinate travel arrangements,
accommodation, meals and transportation
where necessary.
- Prepare correspondence, reports and
material for publication and presentations.
- Receive callers in person and by
telephone, assist those seeking information
and resolve matters not requiring the
personal attention of the Executive.
- Assist the Executive in preparing
confidential and special reports /
documents, e.g. department expenses,
functional costs, and ensure monthly reports
are dispatched on time. Take and transcribe
minutes as required.
- Assist the Executive in the
administration of her portfolio by being
knowledgeable of her responsibilities.
- Preliminary analysis of compliance
reports and issues
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- At least three (3) year’s experience in
a financial institution, accounting or
auditing environment will be an invaluable
asset.
- Knowledge or familiarity with a legal or
Compliance environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- First Degree from a recognized
university in Business Management,
Economics, Accounting or Law OR any related
discipline
- Three A’ levels, good grades coupled
with at least three years working experience
in a financial, legal or compliance
environment.
SKILLS
- Excellent oral and communicative,
organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Numerate;
- Very Good administrative skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and
Power Point

- The successful candidate must be a team
player and demonstrate good use of
initiative.
- He/she must be organized and methodical.
- He/she must be flexible and able to work
long hours under pressure if required.
- He/she must observe and respect the
confidentiality of compliance issues at all
times.
- He/she must display strong work ethic
and the ability to work in a fast paced
environment.
