DR. TERRENCE W. FARRELL

President, Guardian General Limited

Dr. Terrence Farrell, Group Executive Director of Guardian Holdings Limited, assumes the leadership of Guardian General Limited (GGL) from April, 2005.

GGL has affiliates in twenty-five global territories.  Its aggressive growth has made it the largest property and casualty insurer indigenous to the Caribbean and one of the leading insurance companies in the region.

Behind Terry Farrell's gentle manner lies the insightful mind of a fine economist, author and strategic thinker. His Doctorate in Economics led him from a University lectureship, to the Central Bank of Trinidad & Tobago as Deputy Governor. He joined Guardian Holdings in 1998 after serving as Regional Manager for a major IT company.

His prime responsibility has been developing and monitoring the strategic initiatives for the growth and expansion of the GHL group. His portfolio required his oversight of the operational plans for the subsidiary companies, which has kept him closely connected with Guardian General Limited over the last few years.

As President of GGL, Terry Farrell brings international experience in developing close relationships with the business' key stakeholders and clients.   He will forge a powerful leadership unit with Richard Espinet and Andy Haynes who lead GGL's Caribbean and European operations respectively.
