Young and talented Brittany De Freitas, daughter of Guardian Life’s Executive Agent, Richard De Freitas, claimed victory in the GHL Europe’s Child’s Play competition. GHL Europe invited entries from children across the Group, including the Caribbean, in its painting competition.
Jo McAndrew, Marketing Manager of Zenith Services UK Ltd (GHL Europe) congratulated eight year old Brittany who beat out all contestants to cop the top prize. Brittany’s creation will bestow our office with an artistic flair commented Ms McAndrew. In addition to receiving art supplies, Brittany has the honour of knowing that her painting was professionally mounted and hung in GHL’s Chester House office in the United Kingdom.
GHL Europe conceptualized the competition with the intent of encouraging the creativity of children while engaging them in positive social activities. The competition was open to children aged six to thirteen who were free to paint, draw or create a collage. The basic theme of the competition was GHL’s insurance products. Thus the artwork had to include a car, motorcycle, taxi or van. Participants were required to submit either A3 or A4 sized creations.
A very proud Richard de Freitas commented that Brittany had been very excited by the competition and confident that she could win! She ensured that her father stayed on top of competition deadlines and announcement of results.
Douglas Camacho, Group Chief Operating Officer, personally presented Brittany’s prize to her and on behalf of the entire GHL team congratulated her on this wonderful achievement and wished her every success in all her endeavours.
