GHL Ladies Paddle to Success in Charity Dragon Boat Festival |

Guardian Holdings Limited’s all female team finished 3rd in the all female category at the first Scotiabank Women Against Breast Cancer/United Way Trinidad & Tobago Charity Dragon Boat Festival held at Williams Bay, Chaguaramas on Sunday 11th March 2007.
Capitalizing on their success in the inaugural Dragon Boat Festival which was held in October to commemorate the Chinese Bicentennial, the ladies of Oar Struck threw their male team mates overboard and paddled their way to the finish line in their personal best time – 2:04.
A total of 25 teams from various sectors of the corporate world competed on the day all with one goal in mind – to aid in the fight breast cancer. The event was used as a fundraiser with all proceeds being shared equally between United Way Trinidad & Tobago and Scotiabank Women Against Breast Cancer.
GHL applauds the performance of its dragon boat team and will continue to support to Trinidad & Tobago Dragon Boat Federation in future sporting events.
