Guardian Holdings, Guardian Life (Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago) and Guardian General were silver sponsors of the 27th Annual Caribbean Insurance Conference, June 3-5, 2007 at the Marriott in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The Insurance Association of the Caribbean (IAC) teamed up with LIMRA and LOMA to cover the spectrum of challenges and issues within the theme, ‘FORGING A BRAVE NEW FUTURE’.

Guest speaker at the opening ceremony was the Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis. Dr. Ulric Trotz delivered the feature address on the critical topic of Global Warming as it Relates to the Caribbean. Some 502 delegates from 241 companies and 32 countries participated in the three day conference.

A strong Guardian contingent was present headed by Group Chief Operating Officer Douglas Camacho and Earl Moore, President of GLL and current President of the IAC. IAC’s mission is to promote and foster the advancement of the Caribbean insurance industry through research, education and advocacy so as to create a platform for regional harmonization and integration.
