With more than 20 years managerial experience both locally and regionally,
Debra Murray, Procurement Manager at Guardian Holdings Ltd. has been elected
president of the Association of Female Executives of Trinidad & Tobago (AFETT)
for the 2007/2008 term.
Ms. Murray, who has been a member of AFETT since 2004, has served as a board
member in the capacities of Head of Programmes Committee from 2005-2006 and
President Elect from 2006-2007. She is the holder of a Bachelor of Science
in Sociology with Psychology from the University of the West Indies and
certificates in Human Resource Management and Management.
She commented that her focus as president is on “developing, enhancing and
showcasing Leadership in Women through a number of AFETT programmes which
are currently being designed.” She will also be working towards having the
Association recognized as the cachement for professional women’s issues.
